General Purpose of Job

As the Head of Finance, your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage all financial operations and activities within the organization. You play a crucial role in developing and implementing financial strategies, ensuring the company's financial health and stability, and providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making processes.

You will be responsible for planning and managing all day to day financial activities with respect to budgets, costs, forecasting, analysis and internal and external financial reporting. Further responsibilities include the preparation of monthly and yearly closings and respective audits. Another key function will be the continuous analysis of operational costs, capital expenditure, and budget reviews.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Financial Strategy and Planning:  
    - As part of the Management Team, you will support all important strategic and operational decisions, making sure they are financially sound.
    - Developing and implementing the financial strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Collaborating with senior management to determine financial priorities and initiatives as part of a lean budget process
  • Financial Management: Overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. Monitoring financial performance and identifying areas for improvement. Providing financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making
  • Financial Reporting: Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Presenting financial results to senior management, board of directors, and external stakeholders.
  • Cash Flow Management: Managing cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations and strategic investments. Developing cash flow forecasts, optimizing working capital, and monitoring cash flow performance.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, laws, and reporting requirements. Collaborating with auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate audits and resolve any compliance issues.
  • Operation Controlling: Collaborating with internal stakeholders, such as executives, department heads, and operational teams, to provide financial insights and support.
  • Financial Systems and Technology: Assessing and implementing financial systems, tools, and technologies to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and improve efficiency. Ensuring overall data quality and consistency across all departments.

Profile

  • Strong track record in Product and/or Sales controlling ideally in a B2B software context
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment, hands-on mentality
  • Ability to think strategically, analyze complex financial data, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. Strong business acumen and understanding of the industry and market dynamics.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Mastery of Excel and BI tools, and proven experience with accounting/ERP/CRM systems
